Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Tostão Godoi made the kick off and thus started the match. Tostão Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Pombal in the 5th minute of play. Mauro Reis hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 12 played minutes Ceará Sporting Clube got a freekick which was hit by Edu Soeiro. After 13 played minutes Ceará Sporting Clube got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Carvalho. Paulinho Munhoz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Kauan Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Saraiva having to interfere. Valdir Saraiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauan Madureira in the 21st minute. In the 21st match minute, Ceará Sporting Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Linares to maneuver through the defense. Tostão Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Saraiva having to interfere. Ceará Sporting Clube's Valdir Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Marques in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Tostão Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Valdir Saraiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. André Tróia's late challenge caught a Taquiri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Marques was the one to do the kick off. Ceará Sporting Clube's Valdir Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Madureira in the 52nd minute of play. Kauan Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Valdir Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Taquiri's goalkeeper Tostão Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Pombal. In the 64th minute Custódio Neiva suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Edu Soeiro fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ceará Sporting Clube's protests and gave Edu Soeiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Edu Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Linares during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ceará Sporting Clube's Jeremias Linares got a free kick in the 66th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Kauan Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taquiri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauan Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tostão Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taquiri's goalkeeper Tostão Schmidt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gualter Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ceará Sporting Clube getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Gualter Pombal hit a great ball. Tostão Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tostão Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Tostão Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Taquiri had won after a very even match.
