But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Valadares couldn't finish the play. After 25 played minutes Cajobi SC got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Gonçalves. After 28 minutes, Marcel de Godoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batente SS and the Cajobi SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcel de Godoy hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Paulão Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of Batente SS booed when Cajobi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Batente SS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cléberson Mendonça in the 35th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Mateus Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cajobi SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Rosa during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Laércio Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diamantino Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Diamantino Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Alfredinho Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Laércio Trigo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Paulão Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. 61 minutes into the match, Cajobi SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Mota came free, but Alfredinho Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, Batente SS's Nildo Mota made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredinho Negri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulão Carneiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Valadares went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Jeremias Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cajobi SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81stth minute of the game Diamantino Pontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cajobi SC's Alfredinho Negri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
