Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rogério Simões started the match with the kick off. Nicolas de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Donatello Machados short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Laerte da Mata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fábio Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sílvio Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Alvorada SS's Donatello Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute Rogério Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Donatello Machado struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Laerte da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvorada SS. In the 21st minute, Tourao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Simões fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Rogério Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Tourao's Edu Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Massa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, Alvorada SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Esteves to maneuver through the defense. When Tourao's Edu Lara in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alvorada SS's goalie prevented a goal. After 35 played minutes Alvorada SS got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Esteves. If Edu Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fábio Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Sílvio Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edu Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edu Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Tourao's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Simões came free, but Laerte da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laerte da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Simões in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Edgard Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tourao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvorada SS the free kick. A collision led to Tourao getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edgard Chaves hit a great ball. If Fábio Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fábio Correia struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Sílvio Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tourao. Thanks to some nice moves Fábio Correia could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Sílvio Massa however easily saved by the left post. Sílvio Massa made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Edu Lara sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Tourao's zone, Rogério Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte da Mata came out of the goal and Rogério Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatello Machado in the 91st minute of play forced Tourao's goalkeeper Laerte da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Alvorada SS's Rogério Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laerte da Mata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alvorada SS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tourao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
