When Gilvan Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The Os Paue Remji fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Couto should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves João Augusto de Almeida could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Carlos Alberto Couto however easily saved by the left post. If Célio Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
