The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hermínio Velasco made in the 3rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Evandro Maciel immediately put the ball in play. Víktor Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Yan Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Pimenta's late challenge caught a HORIZONTINA F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matheus Faria in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Nicolo saved Nödt Football Club from getting behind. A collision led to Nödt Football Club getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Filipe Pimenta hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes Nödt Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Saraiva. José Paulo Dracena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Antonio Nicolo made a huge save. Matheus Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 played minutes Nödt Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Pimenta. The supporters of HORIZONTINA F C booed when Nödt Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Filipe Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Víktor Fantini made a kick off. Yan Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Fantini in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Nödt Football Club's Víktor Fantini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yan Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luiz Fabiano Saraiva came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Nödt Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Saraiva couldn't finish the play. Antonio Nicolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Dracena in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Hermínio Velasco threw the ball into play from the sideline. Nödt Football Club's Luiz Fabiano Saraiva quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Saraiva in the 67th minute of play forced HORIZONTINA F C's goalkeeper Yan Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Nödt Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Hermes didn't quite understand what happened when in the 70 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 73 played minutes Nödt Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Queirós. Antonio Nicolo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Filipe Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Nödt Football Club's Caco Saraiva got a free kick in the 87th minute. 96 minutes into the game, Hermínio Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HORIZONTINA F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nödt Football Club the free kick. Hermínio Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
