With a little luck, HORIZONTINA F C's Yan Figueiredo got control of the ball when Geovanni dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Matheus Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luiz Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Figueiredo having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, HORIZONTINA F C's Matheus Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dito Mumbach made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 49 minutes, Yan Figueiredo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

54 minutes into the game, one of HORIZONTINA F C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Viradouro FC a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nico Medeiros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of HORIZONTINA F C's Yan Figueiredo. 1-1. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Paulo Dracena couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. HORIZONTINA F C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
