When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Mauro Tande put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sidnei Salgado. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mauro Tande's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidnei Salgado was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Doriva Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 27 played minutes Taruacu got a freekick which was hit by Olavo de Godoy. In the 29th minute of the match, Mauro Tande got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sidnei Salgado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Juca SC's Zeca Favoretto got a free kick in the 35th minute. Sidnei Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Arósio during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 59 minutes, Mauro Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juca SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 61 minutes of play, Juca SC's Mauro Tande made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sidnei Salgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sidnei Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Juca SC's Mauro Tande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidnei Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Telmo Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Tande blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidnei Salgado having to make a save. 78 minutes into the game, Juca SC's Vito Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidnei Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a rather tough play, Taruacu's João Paulo Couto got a free kick in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Tande in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidnei Salgado saved Taruacu from getting behind. Baltazar Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sidnei Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Tande in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidnei Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Taruacu getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Olavo de Godoy hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Clóvis Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidnei Salgado skillfully saved the ball. In the 91st match minute, Taruacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Couto to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeca Favoretto during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
