The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mané de Almeida during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Lazio Sociedade Sul got a freekick which was hit by Mané de Almeida. Mané de Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. The Ipeuate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amauri Moreira got free with Arthur Garcia in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Neves made a kick off. Lazio Sociedade Sul's Arthur Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Vergílio in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Amauri Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Anderson Vergílio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arthur Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Ipeuate's Anderson Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Adriano Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipeuate's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yuri Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Lazio Sociedade Sul defense, Amauri Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Garcia. The Lazio Sociedade Sul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Garcia should have stopped the shot. When Raí Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ipeuate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí Veloso couldn't finish the play. Conrado Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulinho Zanette read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Anderson Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Arthur Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipeuate. Amauri Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Arthur Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ipeuate had won after a very even match.
