The referee ignored Ipeuate's protests and gave Adriano Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. Paulinho Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of C.A. Itajaí - FSCMZ booed when Ipeuate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Veloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Severo in the 13th minute of the match. In the last second Paulinho Zanette throw himself and got hold of the ball when Doni Severo in the 15thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 19thth minute of the game Doni Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ipeuate's Paulinho Zanette was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Severo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulinho Zanette saved Ipeuate from getting behind. After a rather tough play, C.A. Itajaí - FSCMZ's Kauã Peres got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Adriano Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Carioca. C.A. Itajaí - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Paulinho Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Negri in the 27th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Anderson Vergílio made the kick off in the second half. Paulinho Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Severo in the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Severo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulinho Zanette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulinho Zanette showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Luís Gustavo Chaves hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Amauri Moreira took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Carioca. Teodoro Carioca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 76th minute, Raúl Negri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Severo in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulinho Zanette saved Ipeuate from getting behind. Doni Severo scored 1-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulinho Zanette, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th match minute, C.A. Itajaí - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kauã Peres to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, C.A.
