Danilo Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aílton Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Bocuituba SC defense, Aílton Vieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danilo Dantas. The Bocuituba SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danilo Dantas should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute Aílton Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Samuel Brito fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Internacional PR's protests and gave Samuel Brito a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Samuel Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murillo Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Messias in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Internacional PR booed when Bocuituba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Aílton Vieira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nils-Erik Kvist took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo Dantas. Danilo Dantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 33 minutes into the game, Renan Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bocuituba SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Internacional PR the free kick. After 33 played minutes Bocuituba SC got a freekick which was hit by Renan Batista. After 34 minutes, Aílton Vieira made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bocuituba SC's Danilo Dantas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Internacional PR's Aílton Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emerson Linhares lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 45 played minutes Bocuituba SC got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Linhares. A hard and well directed shot from Luís Paulo de Queirós led 46 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Bocuituba SC's Danilo Dantas became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aílton Vieira was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Nils-Erik Kvist from a close distance when the talented Danilo Dantas managed to make a qualified save. Bocuituba SC's players were relieved. 54 minutes into the match, Bocuituba SC's goalkeeper Danilo Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Vieira. If Amadeu Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Danilo Dantas managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when SC Internacional PR's Aílton Vieira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aílton Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Dantas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Vieira in the 62nd minute of play forced Bocuituba SC's goalkeeper Danilo Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Jacinto struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Danilo Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Internacional PR. The audience was convinced that Aílton Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo Dantas was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 69 minutes into the game, Nils-Erik Kvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Danilo Dantas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléberson Messias during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aílton Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Dantas having to interfere. Amadeu Jacinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Danilo Dantas made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, SC Internacional PR's Amadeu Jacinto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. SC Internacional PR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
