Serrinha's Tadeu Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Serrinha from getting a goal against them. Tadeu Paiva made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Aílton Vieira sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of SC Internacional PR booed when Serrinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murillo Barral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André de Carvalho went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Serrinha's André de Carvalho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Murillo Barral. That made the score 3-2 after 62 minutes of play.
