The supporters of Paraguassu EC booed when Cambuata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Paraguassu EC's Renan Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fellipe Lopez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renan Schmidt in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fellipe Lopez saved Cambuata from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Cambuata's goal looked a bit too open when Renan Schmidt came free, but Fellipe Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Renan Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Paraguassu EC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tião Quintal hit a great ball. Fellipe Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Schmidt in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renatinho Carioca made a kick off. If Renan Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute.
