Kauã Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavinho Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maloqueiros do Carmelina's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tarcisio de Senna was slow to take the kick. During this time Humildes's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Tarcisio de Senna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Maloqueiros do Carmelina's Flavinho Damião did a great save. Maloqueiros do Carmelina's Flavinho Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Brito in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maloqueiros do Carmelina's Fred Lago got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Flavinho Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Humildes's goalkeeper Sydney Lucas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Kauã Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Maloqueiros do Carmelina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauã Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerônimo Neves during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Humildes got a freekick which was hit by Jerônimo Neves. A well-hit corner resulted in Fred Lago heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Luiz Eduardo Amaral sped through Humildes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sydney Lucas. 45 minutes into the match, Humildes's goalkeeper Sydney Lucas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Eduardo Amaral. Jano Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Flavinho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauã Vasconcelos made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Kauã Vasconcelos notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Humildes's Sydney Lucas. Sydney Lucas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hugo Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Flavinho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Maloqueiros do Carmelina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Lago to maneuver through the defense. Maloqueiros do Carmelina's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Gilson Brito scored to the left of an out of position Flavinho Damião, making the score, 2-1. After having played for 76 minutes, Kauã Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maloqueiros do Carmelina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauã Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilson Brito kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavinho Damião. That made the score 2-2 in the 79 minute of play. Hugo Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Maloqueiros do Carmelina getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Fred Lago hit a great ball. Pedrinho Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Jano Estevess short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Flavinho Damião to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 92 minutes into the match, Maloqueiros do Carmelina's goal looked a bit too open when Juarês Ramos came free, but Flavinho Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Reginaldo Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Flavinho Damião made a huge save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
