Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Waldir Loureiro made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Nicósia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Velloso came free, but Eduardo Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 minutes, Leonardo Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nicósia SC and the Merusca AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Nicósia SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Nicósia SC's Eduardo Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Félix in the 12th minute of play. Eduardo Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Arlindo Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Simões having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva Félix in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Simões saved Nicósia SC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Doriva Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Simões was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Eduardo Simões didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Merusca AD's Doriva Félix shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Arlindo Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Félix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Simões having to make a save. Doriva Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Doriva Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Loureiro during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduardo Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlindo Velloso's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Eduardo Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Válbson de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicósia SC's Eduardo Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Velloso in the 44th minute of play. The Nicósia SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merusca AD were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arlindo Velloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Arlindo Velloso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eduardo Simões. Arlindo Velloso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 63rd minute, Doriva Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Doriva Félix's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Eduardo Simões skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 74th minute, Leonardo Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Nicósia SC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Waldir Loureiro hit a great ball. Eduardo Simões acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eurico da Fonseca. The crowd rose to their feet as Merusca AD's Arlindo Velloso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Simões. That made the score 0-5 after 85 minutes of play. Igor Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arlindo Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Eduardo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
