When Fábio Teles came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Tarrafa AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Teles couldn't finish the play. Elivélton Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 23 minutes into the game, Franklin Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brenha AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarrafa AD the free kick. The supporters of Tarrafa AD booed when Brenha AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Tarrafa AD got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Palmeira. In the 29th match minute, Tarrafa AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo das Neves to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tarrafa AD's goalkeeper Jefferson Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jefferson Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elivélton Maranhense in the 36th minute of the match. Elivélton Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Damião having to interfere. Jefferson Damião didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elivélton Maranhense went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Rafa Tinoco hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Válter Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elivélton Maranhense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perivaldo de Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Damião. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Perivaldo de Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Adalberto Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brenha AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tarrafa AD's zone, Rafa Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Damião came out of the goal and Rafa Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 57th minute of the match Eugênio Camargo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eugênio Camargo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 58 played minutes Tarrafa AD got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Camargo. 59 minutes into the game, Brenha AD's Elivélton Maranhense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson Damião made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 79th minute, Franklin Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Maranhense in the 82nd minute of play forced Tarrafa AD's goalkeeper Jefferson Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brenha AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
