The crowd rose to their feet as Sílvio Luís Dantas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luciano Toledo. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Marcel Faria put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luciano Toledo. If Ronaldão Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcel Faria was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 16 minutes into the match. Luciano Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldão Mello in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute, Vicente Paraíba fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luciano Toledo, passed just outside the right post. Cascudo F. C.'s Luciano Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Cascudo F. C. from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cascudo F. C.'s zone, Vicente Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Toledo came out of the goal and Vicente Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Digo Linhares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luciano Toledo, 3-1. Vladimir Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd play minute Ronaldão Mello came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luciano Toledo. 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés Nunes during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Cascudo F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Nunes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldão Mello got free with Luciano Toledo in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorginho Dias was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Toledo having to interfere. Ronaldão Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldão Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Luciano Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cascudo F. C.'s Raimundo Bertassi got a free kick in the 67th minute. Digo Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Toledo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ronaldão Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. celeste f.c's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimir Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Paraíba hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Cascudo F. C.'s Ciro Koehler shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 93rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vladimir Vianna but with some difficulty. Ronaldão Mello struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Luciano Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for celeste f.c. If Vicente Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sydney da Silva got free with Vladimir Vianna in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. celeste f.c had played much better football throughout.
