The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Mandrak in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Capixaba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Tapera AD's zone, Amauri de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Capixaba came out of the goal and Amauri de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Britto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tapera AD's goalkeeper Luiz Capixaba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Glauco Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Britto couldn't finish the play. After 33 minutes, Mário Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapera AD and the EXTREMO NORTE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josué Zanette to make the kick off. After 75 minutes of play Tapera AD's Mário Bueno was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 76th match minute, Tapera AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Bueno to maneuver through the defense. After 93 minutes of play, EXTREMO NORTE's Amauri de Andrade made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Capixaba was left in no man's land by his defense there!
