Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonas de Lara kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Futebol de Salto FC's Franklin da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Gomes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Geovânio Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristo Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futebol de Salto FC the free kick. 13 minutes into the match, Cristo Futebol Clube's Jonas de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jairo Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Felipe Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Futebol de Salto FC's protests and gave Felipe Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. Jairo Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franklin da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Gomes having to interfere. If Felipe Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oswaldo Gomes came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Futebol de Salto FC's Franklin da Rocha. But to his dismay, Franklin da Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Almir Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Felipe Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Futebol de Salto FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Saraiva was the one to do the kick off. Oswaldo Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Saraiva in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Délio da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Cristo Futebol Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felipe Saraiva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Futebol de Salto FC booed when Cristo Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Saraiva in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oswaldo Gomes saved Cristo Futebol Clube from getting behind. Cristo Futebol Clube's Oswaldo Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Cristo Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Franklin da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Oswaldo Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Charles Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Cristo Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Jonas de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jairo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Afonsinho Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cristo Futebol Clube's Jonas de Lara in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Futebol de Salto FC's goalie prevented a goal. Geovânio Trancoso got his second yellow card in the match during the 97th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Cristo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Geovânio Trancoso hit a great ball. Hamílton Cabral was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 99th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
