When Jonas Simões came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Trivela SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Simões couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Itamembe AD's zone, Dagoberto Quirino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Guerra came out of the goal and Dagoberto Quirino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonas Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. William Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Nando Teixeira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 33rd minute, Jonas Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 63 played minutes Trivela SC got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Mesquita. Nando Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Itamembe AD's William Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Simões in the 87th minute of play. Zé Pedro Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Trivela SC played a much better game than Itamembe AD and deserved their victory. The Itamembe AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
