In the 4th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Marinho to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Osvaldinho Cearense got a free kick in the 7th minute. Tadeu Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Didi Souto having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Silvinho Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Didi Souto was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Bebeto Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Marinho in the 38th minute of play forced Carranco FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. In the 93rd minute, José Augusto Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Marinho in the 95th minute of play forced Carranco FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Augusto Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Andrade having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carranco FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
