Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fred Maia made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Cambuquira EC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Maia came free, but Rui Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Matheus Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monlevade's Serafim Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Maia in the 14th minute of play. Jaime Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Marques having to interfere. Matheus Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Vianna in the 19th minute of the match. When Cambuquira EC's Jeferson Paes in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Monlevade's goalie prevented a goal. When Jaime Barros came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Monlevade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Barros couldn't finish the play. Monlevade's Aleandro Mesquita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rui Marques but with some difficulty. 45 minutes into the match, Monlevade's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Paes came free, but Matheus Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rui Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Matheus Vasconcelos was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Toninho Vianna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toninho Vianna really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Toninho Vianna got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Monlevade's Matheus Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Paes in the 59th minute of play. Toninho Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Vasconcelos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cambuquira EC's Noel Branco got a free kick in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Monlevade's zone, Toninho Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matheus Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Toninho Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Monlevade's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jeferson Paes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Adolfo Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monlevade's protests and gave Adolfo Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, Adolfo Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Barros in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Marques saved Cambuquira EC from getting behind. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cambuquira EC's goalie and right to Rafael Prado. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cambuquira EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Fred Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fred Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Toninho Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus Vasconcelos having to interfere. Jeferson Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Matheus Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Toninho Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toninho Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rui Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cambuquira EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
