In the 8th match minute, Botucatu SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Velasco to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match Eriberto Lima shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nando Simões showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 11th minute, Alexandre da Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thiago dos Santos. The goal made the score 1-0. Nando Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Matorin in the 14th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Botucatu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sabino Romero came free, but Nando Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nando Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Botucatu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sabino Romero came free, but Nando Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Botucatu SC's Nando Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Matorin in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Kaká Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Matorin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sabino Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Botucatu SC's Nando Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Matorin in the 36th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Sabino Romero in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lúcio Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sabino Romero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre da Silveira in the 51st minute of play forced Itas's goalkeeper Thiago dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Andrézinho Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Botucatu SC's Alexandre da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Alexandre da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itas's goalkeeper Thiago dos Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexandre da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66thth minute of the game Joélson Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itas's Thiago dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kaká Matorin struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Nando Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itas. Itas's Thiago dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre da Silveira in the 80th minute of play. If Sabino Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Botucatu SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Itas for a fine match.
