Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emílio Monteiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Abadiania SS's zone, Ramón Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Negri came out of the goal and Ramón Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Luiz Dante charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Luiz Dante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ipiacu getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. André Luiz Dante hit a great ball. When Ismael Lira came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Abadiania SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Lira couldn't finish the play. When Luís Fábio da Silveira fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipiacu's protests and gave Luís Fábio da Silveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Luís Fábio da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Ismael Lira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ipiacu's Rubens Rocha. Rubens Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Vicente Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipiacu's protests and gave Vicente Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Ismael Lira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Abadiania SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Rubens Rocha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jano Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Jano Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Rocha having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Abadiania SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Lira to maneuver through the defense. If Alfredinho Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Jano Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jano Sabóia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Alfredinho Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abadiania SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipiacu the free kick. Jano Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Ismael Lira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rubens Rocha. The goal made the score 0-3. The corner ended in Tarcisio Abraão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ipiacu's Rubens Rocha did a great save. Rubens Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Ismael Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rubens Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Lira in the 87th minute of the match. Jano Sabóias short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Rubens Rocha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gino Cosme hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
