Ipiacu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anísio Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Polaris F.C 39-xx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flávio Damião to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Polaris F.C 39-xx's Gonçalo Carioca got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Ramón Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Inácio Arruda. Polaris F.C 39-xx's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Anísio Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Pedro Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Arruda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Emílio Monteiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anísio Vergílio to make the kick off. Inácio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Bueno in the 55th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Polaris F.C 39-xx players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ipiacu.
