Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Murilo Toledo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 10 minutes into the match, Siriu's goalkeeper Valdomiro Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Prata. In the 11th match minute, Siriu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. When Murilo Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Lins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Toledo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Gaspar in the 17th minute of play forced Lins's goalkeeper Vladimir Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulão Gaspar in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimir Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonçalo Prata's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valdomiro Queirós firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tarcisio Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Vladimir Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Siriu's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Toledo came free, but Valdomiro Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Siriu's Tarcisio Mello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vladimir Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After having played for 32 minutes, Tarcisio Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Siriu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Paulão Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Siriu's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulão Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Paulão Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimir Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Murilo Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Valdomiro Queirós made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cacá Azevedo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Siriu getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cacá Azevedo hit a great ball. After the first half Siriu were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tarcisio Mello was the one to do the kick off. Murilo Toledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdomiro Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murilo Toledo ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Lins getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Armandinho Arce hit a great ball. The supporters of Siriu booed when Lins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir da Costa, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Valdomiro Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Toledo in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Lins's Murilo Toledo in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Siriu's goalie prevented a goal. If Gonçalo Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Murilo Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lins's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tarcisio Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Siriu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
