In the 8th minute, Cafu Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Narciso's goalkeeper Gil Penha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melker Hansson. Mura's Hortêncio dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Lira in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Inácio Matorin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Hortêncio dos Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When João Francisco Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Mura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Francisco Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Mura's Sixto Quentin got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Narciso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Paulista to maneuver through the defense. In the 29thth minute of the game Sixto Quentin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Narciso's Gil Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Cafu Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes Sixto Quentin rounded Narciso's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Narciso's Manuel Alves suffered a sore knee after 36 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Elivélton da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mura's protests and gave Elivélton da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. Gil Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sixto Quentin's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Sixto Quentin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Penha was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Inácio Matorin made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Quentin in the 59th minute of play forced Narciso's goalkeeper Gil Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amauri Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amauri Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Narciso getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Amauri Paulista hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amauri Paulista in the 63rd minute of play forced Mura's goalkeeper Hortêncio dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Quentin in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gil Penha saved Narciso from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Christian Gumaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mura's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Gumaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inácio Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Sixto Quentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mura's supporters rose to their feet, but Sixto Quentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, João Francisco Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Penha. Narciso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Francisco Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Gil Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Quentin in the 79th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Sixto Quentin put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gil Penha. With his leg Hortêncio dos Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Narciso's Inácio Matorin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Amauri Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Sixto Quentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
