Mazinho Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Erasmo de Sena in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Linhares in the 27th minute of play forced Arandu's goalkeeper Edvaldo Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulinho Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Edvaldo Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Linhares in the 31st minute of play. Prego AD's Rubinho de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Loureiro in the 36th minute of play. Mazinho Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rubinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Adhemar Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo de Sena in the 45th minute of play forced Arandu's goalkeeper Edvaldo Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mazinho Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zeca Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho de Sena having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedê Lara during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arandu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Zeca Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rubinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Felipe Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prego AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felipe Linharess short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Edvaldo Bueno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edvaldo Bueno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Linhares in the 91st minute.
