Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Oswaldo Varela got the match started through his kick off. After 6 minutes Guarani FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dedê Lara who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Dedê Lara got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fiori Tepedino quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Mazinho Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Zeca Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arandu's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeca Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeca Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Tepedino having to interfere. Guarani FC's Fiori Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Loureiro in the 45th minute of play. Cristóvão Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Edvaldo Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mazinho Loureiro was the one to do the kick off. Guarani FC's Fiori Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Guarani FC from getting a goal against them. Cristóvão Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Bueno having to interfere. Oswaldo Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Pena's late challenge caught a Guarani FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Pena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Igor Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oswaldo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guarani FC's Oswaldo Varela got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 played minutes Guarani FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro de Mendonça. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Mazinho Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arandu's supporters rose to their feet, but Mazinho Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alessandro de Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guarani FC's protests and gave Alessandro de Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. A long shot from Dedê Lara in the 76th minute of play was well struck, but Fiori Tepedino made a really good save at the right post. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarani FC's goalkeeper Fiori Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fiori Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeca Urbano in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute Mazinho Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Guarani FC's Oswaldo Varela in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arandu's goalie prevented a goal. Guarani FC's Fiori Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Guarani FC from getting a goal against them. Mazinho Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
