With a little luck, ĐɛᵴȶʀʊiᵭᴓƦ's Marcel Mazza got control of the ball when Jaime França tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Velejantes's goal looked a bit too open when Benê Gaspar came free, but Sidney Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 15 minutes, Paulinho Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ĐɛᵴȶʀʊiᵭᴓƦ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Pirani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Velejantes's goal looked a bit too open when Paulinho Pirani came free, but Sidney Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Sidney Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulinho Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sydney Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Gustavo Meira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sidney Bueno. Velejantes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício de Almeida in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Mazza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Maurício de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Velejantes got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Figueiredo. If Benê Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurício de Almeida was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Maurício de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Mazza was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benê Gaspar in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidney Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sidney Bueno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulinho Pirani in the 64th minute. Marcel Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime França in the 68th minute of play. Adolfo Batista's late challenge caught a Velejantes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Batista helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Velejantes booed when ĐɛᵴȶʀʊiᵭᴓƦ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurício de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Mazza having to interfere. Paulinho Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulinho Piranis short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Sidney Bueno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in ĐɛᵴȶʀʊiᵭᴓƦ's zone, Jaime França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Mazza came out of the goal and Jaime França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Velejantes's Sidney Bueno got control of the ball when Paulinho Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Benê Gaspar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sidney Bueno. That made the score 0-2 in the 91 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ĐɛᵴȶʀʊiᵭᴓƦ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
