Enio Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês do Vale's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Juarês do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christiano Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enio Vaz having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juarês do Vale to make the kick off. Andrézinho Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Puga EC booed when Joazeirinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luís Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Kaká Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juarês do Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enio Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês do Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee ignored Joazeirinho SS's protests and gave Lucas Vides a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Joazeirinho SS's Lucas Vides got a free kick in the 84th minute. Puga EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Juarês do Vale scored to the left of an out of position Enio Vaz, making the score, 0-1. If Juarês do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joazeirinho SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
