Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Maurício Freire kicked off to start the match. Elói Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Jacinto having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, SeleSantos's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Freire came free, but Fausto Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well placed Maurício Freire short distance shot in the 24th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Elói Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Maurício Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontao SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elói Souza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Fausto Jacinto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Maurício Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Fonseca got free with Lúcio Saldanha in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Elói Souza came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Pontao SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elói Souza couldn't finish the play. Fausto Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Elói Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Thomás Barral fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontao SC's protests and gave Thomás Barral a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pontao SC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Thomás Barral hit a great ball. Maurício Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Jacinto having to interfere. Edu Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fred Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. SeleSantos's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Souza in the 84th minute of play forced SeleSantos's goalkeeper Fausto Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Maurício Freire who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SeleSantos's Fausto Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fausto Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Souza in the 93rd minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, SeleSantos's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Freire came free, but Fausto Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
