Adolfo Recife was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Jarbas Nunes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Guampara's Adolfo Recife. Adolfo Recife was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jarbas Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Giuseppe Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Jacinto having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Guampara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Ascurra SC's Luís Fabiano Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarbas Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giuseppe Faria was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ascurra SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 61st match minute, Ascurra SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giuseppe Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Faria in the 70th minute of play forced Ascurra SC's goalkeeper Anselmo Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes in the game Renato de Carvalho after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Adolfo Recife. A very good opportunity. In the 83rd minute Carlos Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Porto might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Jacinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Porto ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Guampara getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Emílio Brasil hit a great ball. Adolfo Recife was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Zé Paulo Favoretto. If Jarbas Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ascurra SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
