Ricardinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio de Almeida having to interfere. Dráusio de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardinho Macedo's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Gláuber Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dráusio de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Atletico Carvalho's zone, Ricardinho Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio de Almeida came out of the goal and Ricardinho Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gláuber Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute Gláuber Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gláuber Miranda's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Gláuber Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráusio de Almeida having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardinho Macedo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes, Leonel Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acioli SS and the Clube Atletico Carvalho players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Clube Atletico Carvalho booed when Acioli SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Ricardinho Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acioli SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardinho Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agenor Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betão Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Clube Atletico Carvalho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gláuber Miranda fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 76th minute Betão Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agenor Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Ricardinho Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dráusio de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Macedo in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Gláuber Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardinho Macedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dráusio de Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The Clube Atletico Carvalho support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
