Custódio Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Favoretto in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Paes in the 25th minute of play forced Brocheirs SC's goalkeeper Custódio Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Brocheirs SC's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Paes came free, but Custódio Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brocheirs SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lenílson Faustino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronaldinho Pimenta made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Lenílson Faustino sent off a good shot on target. When Ronaldão Senna came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Brocheirs SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Senna couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldão Senna made a kick off. Montezuma SC's Ronaldinho Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 周威坤 in the 51st minute of play. 周威坤 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Amauri Viana's late challenge caught a Brocheirs SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Viana helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Montezuma SC's Amauri Viana got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Montezuma SC's Amauri Viana made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Custódio Faria was left in no man's land by his defense there! Montezuma SC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Brocheirs SC's much stronger midfield.
