Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Renato Bastos made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente de Souza in the 5th minute of play forced Camboim's goalkeeper Olavo Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 6 played minutes Camboim got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Maciel. After recieving a nice pass, Muritiba's Gilberto Vale tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Eurico Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Guerra in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Moreno during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Clemente de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eurico Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gláuber de Mendonça during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Renato Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Jacinto having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Délio Vasconcelos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muritiba and the Camboim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Muritiba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Camboim:s goal. The referee gave Camboim a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Miguel Leme, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Muritiba's Eurico Paiva. 1-0. Clemente de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico Paiva made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Vito Faria sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Guerra made a kick off. If Clemente de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Muritiba's Renato Bastos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olavo Jacinto. Olavo Jacinto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 63rd match minute, Camboim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Camboim's Olavo Jacinto got control of the ball when Gilberto Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eurico Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Guerra in the 66th minute of play. If Cipriano Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Olavo Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Muritiba's Gilberto Vale got a free kick in the 75th minute. Eurico Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eurico Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Guerra in the 79th minute of the match. Muritiba's Eurico Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Madureira in the 81st minute of play. Eurico Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Vito Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eurico Paiva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vito Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Cipriano Guerra made a precise shot to the right of Eurico Paiva. Muritiba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After having played for 94 minutes, Clemente de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muritiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Fernando Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camboim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
