When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardinho Tavares made a kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Dianopolis FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sumidouro SC:s goal. Dianopolis FC:s Custódio Tavares showed great skill when he stopped Cafu Cavalcante:s penalty. In the 53rd play minute Cafu Cavalcante came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Custódio Tavares. 0-1. Dianopolis FC's Custódio Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Dianopolis FC from getting a goal against them. Fausto Guedes struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Custódio Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumidouro SC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Severo in the 78th minute of play forced Sumidouro SC's goalkeeper Wiliam Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Custódio Tavares made a huge save. Dianopolis FC's Custódio Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Arantes in the 84th minute of play. Percy Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Custódio Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Dianopolis FC's Benê Paes got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Custódio Tavares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percy Figueiredo in the 93rd minute.
