Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joélson Melo made the kick off which started today's match. When Goialina's Gilson Amorim in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Itanaje FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 11th minute, Hélder Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Itanaje FC's Marquinhos Quaresma got control of the ball when Gilson Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilson Amorim in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marquinhos Quaresma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 18 minutes into the match, Itanaje FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Melo came free, but Marquinhos Quaresma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Itanaje FC's zone, Joélson Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Quaresma came out of the goal and Joélson Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton de Queirós having to interfere. If Joélson Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 36 minutes, Joélson Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goialina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joélson Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Gilson Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marquinhos Quaresma. Itanaje FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilson Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Goialina's Joélson Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Barreto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donato da Cunha hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes Christian Barreto rounded Goialina's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. In the 58th minute of the match Thomás Trigo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marquinhos Quaresma showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilson Amorim in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Quaresma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jaime Leme struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Hílton de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itanaje FC. In the 77th minute, Joélson Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marquinhos Quaresma was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Christian Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Donatello charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Donatello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Goialina getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luís Donatello hit a great ball. Marquinhos Quaresma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Amorim in the 92nd minute of play. Gilson Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marquinhos Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Itanaje FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Goialina.
