Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Romeu Paraibano got the match started through his kick off. Alexsandro Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Paraibano in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th minute Romeu Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexsandro Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Hugo de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Putinga SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexsandro Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hugo de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL's Dráuzio Hermes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Hugo de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alexsandro Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Putinga SC's Romeu Paraibano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexsandro Pimenta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vitinho da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Vítor Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Allan Sampaio took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitinho da Cunha. A very good chance. A collision led to INTERNACIONAL getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. André Luís Leal hit a great ball. Romeu Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Vítor Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Romeu Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Putinga SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeu Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Putinga SC's zone, Dráuzio Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho da Cunha came out of the goal and Dráuzio Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91stth minute of the game João Vítor Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Putinga SC's Vitinho da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hugo de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Pimenta having to interfere. Alexsandro Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL's Dráuzio Hermes got a free kick in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Putinga SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for INTERNACIONAL.
