Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Percival Marquez started the match with the kick off. A collision led to São Gonçalo getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Richard da Mata hit a great ball. Eriberto Cordeiro hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Curimata SS's Jânio Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Tavares in the 10th minute of play. Eriberto Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 23 minutes into the match, São Gonçalo's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Sá came free, but Fausto Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emílio Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When São Gonçalo's Emílio Hoffmann in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curimata SS's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the game, Emílio Hoffmann lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Jânio Neves. 44 minutes into the match, Curimata SS's goalkeeper Jânio Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Carneiro. 47 minutes into the game, Adriano Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curimata SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Gonçalo the free kick. The supporters of São Gonçalo booed when Curimata SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emílio Hoffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Jânio Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Hoffmann in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Cordeiro in the 61st minute of play forced Curimata SS's goalkeeper Jânio Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eriberto Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the São Gonçalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. Fausto Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Adriano Velasco sent off a good shot on target. Germano Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Leandro Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jânio Neves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curimata SS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for São Gonçalo. Richard da Mata stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jânio Neves. 3-1. When Emílio Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the São Gonçalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emílio Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Curimata SS's Adriano Velasco got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 97th minute, São Gonçalo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Adriano Velasco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. There was no doubt that São Gonçalo were the better team. São Gonçalo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
