Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Manfredo Borges made the kick off which started today's match. João Pedro de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 played minutes, Xambioazinho's Natanael Prata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper João Pedro de Queirós came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Xambioazinho reached it. Manfredo Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute Xambioazinho were awarded a corner. Elói Linares went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Elói Linares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Pedro de Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Léo Oliveira had several of the Paicandu SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 19 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed João Pedro de Queirós as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Didi Vergílio fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paicandu SC's protests and gave Didi Vergílio a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Paicandu SC got a freekick which was hit by Didi Vergílio. Xambioazinho's Vágner Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Barbosa in the 26th minute of play. Mané Peixoto hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Zacarias de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Trancoso having to interfere. When Zacarias de Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paicandu SC's protests and gave Zacarias de Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. Mané Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Vágner Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias de Andrade in the 43rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Aírton Barbosa made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Xambioazinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Paicandu SC's Zacarias de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aírton Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Trancoso having to interfere. Manfredo Borges hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Alfredão Vander struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. João Pedro de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xambioazinho. If Manfredo Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Xambioazinho getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Alfredão Vander hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aírton Barbosa in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vágner Trancoso saved Xambioazinho from getting behind. When Aírton Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Paicandu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aírton Barbosa couldn't finish the play. After having played for 88 minutes, Zacarias de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paicandu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias de Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xambioazinho's Vágner Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Xambioazinho from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
