Vicente's Thomás Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Rezende in the 8th minute of play. Ramón de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Paraíba in the 9th minute of the match. Raimundo Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. In the 18th minute Raimundo Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Ronaldinho Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rubinho Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35thth minute of the game Raimundo Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vicente's Thomás Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Rezende in the 37th minute of play forced Vicente's goalkeeper Thomás Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Raimundo Rezende scored to the left of an out of position Thomás Travassos, making the score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Gurgueia's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Barbosa came free, but Ramón de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Gurgueia's goalkeeper Ramón de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrianinho Paraíba. Jano Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón de Sena having to interfere. Gurgueia's Ramón de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Gurgueia from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Vicente getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Luciano Munhoz hit a great ball. After 72 minutes Vicente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wiliam Paes who took care of the corner kick. In the 74th minute of the match Gurgueia got a corner. Vicente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wiliam Paes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Wiliam Paes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Vicente's Thomás Travassos did a great save. In the 76th minute Raimundo Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrianinho Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 2-0 became the score in the 85th minute when Raimundo Rezende elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vicente fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Víktor Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Travassos having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Vicente got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Munhoz. In the 98th minute of the match Gurgueia got a corner. Vicente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wiliam Paes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Wiliam Paes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomás Travassos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gurgueia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
