Delfim Breckenfeld hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After having played for 4 minutes, João Carlos Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talima SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Carlos Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Breckenfeld in the 9th minute of the match. Talima SC's Jonas Guerra suffered a sore thigh after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 11 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Pernambucano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Braunas AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talima SC the free kick. In the 12th minute, Reginaldo Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Francisco de Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Celsinho Botelho hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Francisco de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Delfim Breckenfeld sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute Gilvan Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Talima SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilvan Marinho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Talima SC's Amílton Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Campidelis in the 41st minute of play forced Braunas AD's goalkeeper Inácio Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th match minute, Braunas AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Talima SC's Abelardo Pena tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Amílton Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inácio Loyola having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Amílton Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilvan Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Talima SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilvan Marinho came free, but Francisco de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Marinho in the 65th minute of the match. Amílton Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Inácio Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim Breckenfeld in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco de Almeida prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Braunas AD's Inácio Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Braunas AD from getting a goal against them. Francisco de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Amílton Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Carlos Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Reginaldo Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Braunas AD's zone, João Carlos Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Loyola came out of the goal and João Carlos Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Delfim Breckenfeld's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco de Almeida was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Amílton Campidelis got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Braunas AD's Inácio Loyola got control of the ball when Inácio Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Braunas AD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Talima SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
