Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pedranopolis's Danilo Rocha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rendinha's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo da Silveira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danilo Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo da Silveira having to interfere. Sidney Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Lopes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Rendinha's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Rocha came free, but Luiz Paulo da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caio Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Rendinha's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Rocha came free, but Luiz Paulo da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rendinha's Zé Romero got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Pedranopolis getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Róbson Neves hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Nicolas Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião Carioca during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sidney Matos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Danilo Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Paulo da Silveira was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Massa in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sidney Matos saved Pedranopolis from getting behind. Nicolas Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Matos having to interfere. Rendinha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
