In the 25th match minute, Regalo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Regalo's Yan Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Bastos in the 27th minute of play. Regalo's Rafa Maranhense was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, Arvoredo's Douglas Meira got control of the ball when Teodoro Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Teodoro Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Regalo's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rafa Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Bastos was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Regalo's Nuno Donato got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Yan Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Bastos in the 53rd minute of play. Alex Mandrak came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Yan Mangueira could save by the left post. Ernesto Cosme hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A collision led to Arvoredo getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Manfredo Fernandez hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Arvoredo's Yan Mangueira threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Bastos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Arvoredo defense, Rafa Maranhense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Douglas Meira. The Arvoredo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Douglas Meira should have stopped the shot. When Rafa Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Regalo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Maranhense couldn't finish the play. Alex Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Mangueira having to interfere. The supporters of Arvoredo booed when Regalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yan Mangueira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Norberto Correia. Ernesto Cosme's late challenge caught a Arvoredo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Cosme helped the player get up and apologised. 79 minutes into the match, Regalo's goalkeeper Yan Mangueira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Mandrak. Otávio Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Luciano Costa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. With 89 minutes on the clock, Orlando Prata commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Regalo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Yan Mangueira, was totally fooled by Arvoredo's Norberto Correia, who 91 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Regalo's Yan Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Bastos in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Regalo fully deserved thier win.
