Geovânio Maia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Arthur Vianna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 10th minute, Ambicao AD's Horácio Fantini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Geovânio Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Vianna having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Messias in the 16th minute of play forced Ambicao AD's goalkeeper Alexandre Faustino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Carcamano FC's Adelino Messias got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Horácio Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ambicao AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Horácio Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 played minutes Carcamano FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Pinho. After 25 minutes, Geovani Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carcamano FC and the Ambicao AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geovani Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ambicao AD's Nando Faustino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carcamano FC. Benê Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Faustino having to interfere. Caetano Pinho hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ambicao AD's Valério Motta shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arthur Vianna but with some difficulty. In the 33rd minute Horácio Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Geovânio Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio Fantini succeeded in the game's 37th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Clóvis Hames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Geovânio Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 53 minutes of play, Carcamano FC's Benê Tande made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Faustino was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Carcamano FC defense, Geovânio Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Vianna. The Carcamano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Vianna should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Carcamano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Maia came free, but Arthur Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Geovânio Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arthur Vianna was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Didi Soeiro during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Didi Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ambicao AD's zone, Adelino Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Faustino came out of the goal and Adelino Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ambicao AD getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Vitinho de Mendonça hit a great ball. Horácio Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Vianna having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ambicao AD's zone, Benê Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Faustino came out of the goal and Benê Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 99th minute, Geovânio Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ambicao AD fully deserved thier win.
