Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Remo Amaral got the match started through his kick off. Cajoeira's Amílton Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Nogueira in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Cajoeira booed when Vasantes SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 played minutes, Cajoeira's Rafinha de Carvalho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedrão Bittencourt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cajoeira reached it. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasantes SS's goalkeeper Pedrão Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute Nestor Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Vasantes SS's Pedrão Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Amaral in the 28th minute of play. If Matías Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrão Bittencourt was a little too slow when Remo Amaral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. 40 minutes in the game, Remo Amaral fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pedrão Bittencourt having to interfere. If Matías Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Remo Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Cajoeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remo Amaral couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Cajoeira's Remo Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matías Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Bittencourt having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Nestor Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasantes SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cajoeira the free kick. The supporters of Cajoeira booed when Vasantes SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedito Schmidt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 72nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Washington Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasantes SS's protests and gave Washington Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. Washington Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Pedrão Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Brodel in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute Matías Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matías Brodel in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Matías Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Paulo Nogueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílton Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cajoeira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vasantes SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
