In the 6th minute Fábio Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alemao SC's Aloísio Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Antunes in the 11th minute of play. If Gualter de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aloísio Barral came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Tapiara's Gualter de Medeiros. But to his dismay, Gualter de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alemao SC's Aloísio Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter de Medeiros in the 20th minute of play. Fábio Antunes took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aloísio Barral. Aloísio Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Frédson Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Frédson Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Borges in the 27th minute of play. Gualter de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio Barral having to interfere. Gualter de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ciro Paulista struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Frédson Maciel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alemao SC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber Carvalho in the 39th minute of play forced Alemao SC's goalkeeper Aloísio Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aloísio Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter de Medeiros in the 40th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Tapiara got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Viana. Manfredo Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Frédson Maciel made a huge save. Aloísio Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Antunes in the 47th minute of play. Ciro Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alemao SC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ciro Paulista hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 56th minute, Ciro Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frédson Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Baptista in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Tapiara booed when Alemao SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualter de Medeiros got free with Aloísio Barral in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gualter de Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Aloísio Barral made a huge save. When Tapiara's Fábio Antunes in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alemao SC's goalie prevented a goal. The tension between the Alemao SC and the Tapiara players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alemao SC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. William Messias hit a great ball. Tapiara's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
