In the 10th match minute, Camburi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Bueno to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sapecada SC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fernandinho Madureira hit a great ball. In the 12th minute of the match Léo Garcia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franklin Massa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Custódio Tasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Camburi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 16th minute, Tiago Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of Franklin Massa. Sapecada SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Tiago Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. After the first half Camburi were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felippe Trigo to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Camburi's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Trigo came free, but Denílson Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
