Dorival Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Paiva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Arnaldo Vander got in the 15th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Miguel Lago handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Dorival Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Veiga in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gramal EC's goalkeeper Miguel Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raúl Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Miguel Lago made a huge save. After 36 minutes, Dudu Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gramal EC and the Laudja players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th minute, Dudu Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Paiva in the 37th minute of play forced Gramal EC's goalkeeper Miguel Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Henrique do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Fernando Veiga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gramal EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Vander was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Henrique do Vale made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Laudja's Dorival Arósio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58thth minute of the game Arnaldo Vander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gramal EC's Miguel Lago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dorival Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique do Vale in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Gramal EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl Paiva's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Gramal EC's Antônio Carlos Vinhas got a free kick in the 68th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Gramal EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Laudja:s goal. Fernando Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laudja's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Henrique do Vale 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique do Vale in the 87th minute of play forced Laudja's goalkeeper Dorival Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Miguel Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Laudja getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ramiro Paraense hit a great ball. Dorival Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrique do Vale in the 94th minute of play. Fernando Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorival Arósio having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Henrique do Vale took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Dorival Arósio to make any attempt to save it. Gramal EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
