Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eugênio de Lara got the match started through his kick off. If Eugênio de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Magdalena FC's zone, Eugênio de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Tavares came out of the goal and Eugênio de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Magdalena FC's Aníbal Lima got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute Vladimir Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Fonseca in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Dracena in the 22nd minute of play forced Gramadense's goalkeeper Cafu Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gilson Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magdalena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilson Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cafu Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Arruda in the 27th minute of the match. Vicente Maciel's late challenge caught a Magdalena FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vicente Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gramadense getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Vicente Maciel hit a great ball. After 34 minutes, Hélder Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gramadense and the Magdalena FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vladimir Dracena took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cafu Rossi. Cafu Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vladimir Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Rossi having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vladimir Dracena to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Gramadense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Koehler to maneuver through the defense. When Gilson Perez came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Magdalena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Perez couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Gramadense's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Dracena came free, but Cafu Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gramadense's Cafu Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Gramadense from getting a goal against them. When Gramadense's Afonso Duarte in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Magdalena FC's goalie prevented a goal. Gramadense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Vladimir Dracena scored to the left of an out of position Cafu Rossi, making the score, 1-2. Elias Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Cafu Rossi made a huge save. Aníbal Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Rossi having to interfere. Elias Arruda hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Vladimir Dracena hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Afonso Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Tavares having to interfere.
